Flatt Magazine { Cover Illustrations }

Christina Lessa over at Flatt Magazine asked me to illustrate the front and back cover of their new publication. The goal was to incorporate photographs of musicians Janelle Monae and Gary Clark Junior.  This is truly a fantastic arts publication. Absolutely no adds. Also within the mag they showcased some of my most recent paintings.

"Flat Earth" Time Lapse, Vol Twelve

I was told there would be cake.
Lisa was so excited about her 23rd birthday. It was her first birthday party without her twin sister Martha. She knew It was going to be a splendid day filled with friends, family, and of course, cake… until her ex-boyfriend William showed up drunk at the front door. He made sexual advances on all of her friends, ate all of the birthday cake, and then proceeded to pass out amongst the gifts on the living room floor. Shortly after the party, Lisa and William got back together and moved into a one bedroom apartment in Lake Worth Florida.
